India’s longest sea bridge, Atal Setu bridge, was opened in Mumbai on January 12 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This Atal bridge links Mumbai to Navi Mumbai, cutting the travel time between the two cities and bring ease to the Mumbaikars . How much long is Atal Setu bridge ? – length – 21.8km

Spanning 21.8 km, officially named Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu, it features a 16.5 km stretch over the sea and an additional 5.5 km on land. PM Modi, during the inauguration, expressed that Atal Setu mumbai symbolizes a developed India with facilities, prosperity, speed, and progress for all.

Inaugurated in December 2016, the bridge has nearly 400 cameras and thermal cameras for fog detection to enhance security. Toll charges are set at ₹250 for one-way travel, with an expected daily traffic of 70,000 vehicles on the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link.

First Day on Mumbai’s Atal Setu: Over 8,000 vehicles cruised at 100 kmph in just 12 hours! The Mumbai Trans Harbour Sealink (MTHL), welcoming traffic from 8 am on Saturday, recorded an impressive 8,169 vehicles on its inaugural day.
