The Central Teacher Eligibility Test was conducted on January 21 in 135 cities across the country in 20 languages.

For CTET Paper 1, a total of 9,58,193 candidates registered with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). For Paper 2, 17,35,333 candidates registered. Paper 1 is conducted for teaching classes one to five, while Paper 2 is for teaching classes six to eight.
