Gaganyaan Mission Update: Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently gave a detailed update on the progress of the Gaganyaan Mission, India’s first human space flight program. PM Modi Honored the chosen astronauts with astronaut wings.

Here are the names of the four pilots selected for the Gaganyaan Mission

  1. Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair.
  2. Group Captain Ajit Krishnan.
  3. Group Captain Angad Pratap.
  4. Wing Commander Subhanshu Shukla.

This is the biggest mission for India and preparations are going on in ISRO centers. The launch window for this ambitious endeavor is targeted between 2024 and 2025.

PM Modi shared this great news at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre In Thiruvananthapuram. and also appreciated the astronauts representing the aspirations of 140 Indians reaching the stars. He highlighted the importance of this moments marking India to return space after 40 years.

During the announcement, PM Modi was joined by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Union Minister Muraleedharan, and ISRO Chairman S Somanath. The Prime Minister told about the plan to boost India’s space sector by inaugurating the 3 space projects PSLV Integration Facility, the Semi-cryogenics Integrated Engine and Stage Test Facility, and the Trisonic Wind Tunnel. These projects, with a collective cost of approximately Rs. 1800 crore, aim to boost technical capabilities and research in the space sector, aligning with the PM’s vision for the country’s space exploration.
