The Ram Mandir, a Hindu temple being built in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India, holds great significance as it stands at the proposed birthplace of Rama, a prominent deity in Hinduism.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Ram Mandir construction took place on August 5, 2020, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi officiating. The ongoing construction is overseen by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, and the temple’s inauguration is set for January 22, 2024.

However, the temple project has not been without controversy, with concerns raised about the alleged misuse of donations, sidelining of key activists, and its politicization by the BJP.
